Well, always after the play productions there is a "cast party". Jessica asked to go..."We are going to Pizza Hut, then back to Michael's house, play darts, pool and just hang out." Well, the play didn't even end until after 10 pm. I never let my kids go anywhere wihtout me except to church camp! And that just about killed me! I know independence is a fighting battle with a teenager. So, I prayed a quick prayer, told my gut to be quiet and let her go, after telling her no 3 times! I guess that is the magic number.
I proceeded to go home and pray a more intent prayer, daughter called (texted) "I'm ok mom." Well, who was asking? I was wondering though. :-) That was around midnight. Finally after another round of texting at 2 am I said 3 o clock I need you home. I couldn't sleep. I need some sleep! Come home! And right away she came. I know I have a pretty good kid. I know most of the kids she was with last night were the same way, but it was Friday night and there were folks on the road doing things that are out of all of our control. Which why worry then?
But she came home safely. Thank You, Lord. Doesn't mean she gets to hang out like that anymore...at least not until the next cast party which isn't until in the fall! *whew*

See, I update you while I'm gone about what I'm doing and I was okay. We stayed at Pizza Hut and ate some pizza, obv. LOL, we all chipped in and paid $3-5. I think we had at least 16 people there, taking up half the place. The workers were like, "OMG, SO MANY PEOPLE."
ReplyDeleteAfter that we headed back to Chinchillas and hung out there. Was fun. Ha, we played darts, pool, danced, listened to music, and I ATTEMPTED to play Halo 3. Attempted, I just gave up and let Steven start playing for me. D: TOO COMPLICATED IMO.
And yes, I arrived home at 2:54 a.m. YUP, and I let you keep sleeping because I didn't feel like waking you up. :D ILUUUUUUUUUU, thanks for letting me gooooooooooo. <3
