Dishes & The 7-Eleven

Wednesday...Hump Day! Whoo Hoo!
Adventures this week included hitting every thrift store between here and EC on Monday w/ Patti Hite and finding two very cute outfits for only $8! I have too many clothes! Plan on spending the morning tomorrow pairing up outfits and what's left donating back to thrift stores!
I have had good intentions all week to get my house back in some kind of reasonable order...well, Tuesday, dear hubby says, "Wanna go to EC w/me being as you spent all day yesterday w/Patti?" How could I say no?! SO there went another day out the window! Today I have to get Jessica (dear daughter) to an appoinment at 1 and tomorrow mom has an eye doctor appt. at 1! I have my mornings free I guess...although since being home and not working, hubby seems to think all that time belongs to him! I won't go there! *sigh* I am tired is all I can say! LOL
It's like I am a 7-Eleven...open 24 hours a day...7 days a week! You know...they have chains and locks on their doors? Which poses the question, if they are an open all the time place, when do they use them?
I am in the kitchen now as I write this. I most hate this room! Well, the dishes anyway, and sweeping it, and mopping it...yep! I hate it all! LOL
Going to try and get a new ceiling fan up in living room...yeah the one I bought like 2 weeks ago! It's still riding around in the Jeep. If it doesn't get up tonight, well, I can start on it and that always brings Kevin running! "Stop before you burn the house down!" LOL I have tricks too Kevin Lee! LOL
Here is hoping all have a good day! Remember...the problems of today fade into a distant memory as...you get a new load of crap tomorrow! LOL Sorry! Love you!
PEACE!

Old Friends, New Memories

Got a chance to have conversation today with an old friend. I have folks who tell me they love to talk to me because they always leave me feeling better...I often wonder who can I call on besides God? I need a "real live" person at times. I got up with an old friend online (easy to do w/facebooking and IMing stuff) and forgot how much I enjoyed talking with this person! Forgot that someone can make me laugh for a change instead of coming to me wanting me to make them perk up! If you are reading my blog...and you probably are...thanks!

Looking forward to tomorrow! Hump day! Another week zipping on by...not truly ready for summer. Wish kids could stay little forever! *sigh*
Cheers! Here's to life and all the adventure and change that comes with each day!
Peace!

Bring On The Rain

Whew! The end to another week...they seem to be running together! Since becoming a stay at home...what am I exactly yet to be determined...I have done nothing and gotten nothing accomplished I thought I would. It needs to rain! LOL When the sun is shining I can't stay inside! Outside I must go and so the house has been just as neglected as it was (worse actually) when I worked 4 days a week!
Have been worried I had a migraine coming on...slight headache, a little feverish...but the sun was shining today so migraine go away...off I went outside to enjoy it. My lawn mowoer had water in the gas tank, so over on it's side it went...ok I rolled it completedly over to empy the tank! Which nobody told me would flood the carburetor thingy therefore causing it to flood out.
I personally can't believe I am awake this late at night! 10:40 pm! Getting ready to go to bed and drag the kids kicking and screaming along for the ride! As much as I have enjoyed the week home with the kids during spring break (Chris is already counting down the days until summer vacation) I am looking forward to having a "Me" day next week.
I am officially med free and want to see how I wake up in the morning after working in yard all day...so far so good...I think all the physical labor is actually the best thing I could do for myself this week. Mom called and said "Tony said he'll be back over Monday to cut our yards." Too late. I'm done! YAY ME! Got a feeling I'm gonna sleep like a baby tonight...ok after a couple of Tylenol PM's. Just something for the headache!
I at least have not had time this week to miss the office. Was on the verge of renaming my dogs James & Todd...LOL It's getting easier...I don't miss working per say...just the day to day interaction with other humans beings...I know I have Kevin & Mama...yeah now you see what I'm saying? LOL
Well, here's to new adventures that are waiting to take me away this week!
Til next time,
Peace to you!

Ball Games & Bugs

Whew! What a week! This week has seen me pretty much finally being a homebody. Spent all yesterday getting the ole' taxes done...post office open today until 5 right?
Baseball season is upon us...and for me that meant going to Wal-Mart and spending the almighty dollar getting Chris new gear! So, off we go...my niece Kelsey tagging along for the adventure! She is my brother's daughter. (The one who came and cut my grass the other day) I am still thrilled about it! She's a good girl for the most part and Chris loves her! OK! I love her too! Wish we could see her more! She lives w/her mom so Tony gets her every other weekend and on special days. She read my blog and said I should talk about her...is this enough? Is it Kelsey? OK!
Now today's adventure is just sitting here doing some laundry...OK I do that everyday! I am going to put a pork roast in the crock pot and get some supper started. If the rain holds off Chris will have b-ball practice tonight @ 6. And so it all begins! Ballgames & bugs...and so the addition to all of life's adventure continues! To all out there: PEACE!

Grapevines, Gas and Bumble Bees

Lots of adventures going on since my last blog...well, came home last week to find my brother had come over and cut my grass and finished trimming up my grapevine I had started on back in February. Things at my house are backwards...hubby has gout and rhuematoid arthritis...so any outside work for him puts him out of commission. So I do the outside and he takes over the cooking. For the most part it works out fine except last year I went through some things that made it difficult for me to do hardly anything! And I actually enjoy the outside work...hard or not. So, as I was dredging up the energy to cut my grass, the decision was taken out of my hands. I was able to do the trim work and the ditches and be done and yard looks pretty good!
It's good to have a brother...my twin actually. No, we don't feel each other's pain...although any time I have been hurt, he gets hurt 10x worse. I got glasses, he got his eye swollen from hitting the side of a big freezer on out outside porch. I got a headache, he falls off the bed (from jumping back and forth!) and busts his head. I stepped on a bee once...he was playing in ditch a couple of days later and cut his foot wide open!
Tried to burn grapevine...2 1/2 gallons of gas later and it's still here! It's too green Kevin said....I think gas had water in it! As I was trimming some bushes, a nest of ground bees welcomed me gung ho! Butterflies and dragonflies are already out and about. I actually have felt much better getting some exercise outside. I have slept so well lately!
Suppertime!

Hubby Found A Job Just Right For Me?

Today's adventure involves going to different recycling centers with hubby to pick up batteries. It is not a glamorous job but pays well. Kevin turns around and sells them for about $6 a piece and after spending a couple hours filling up the pick up with about 100 batteries, you have a nice size chunk of change. As I am no longer working, Kevin said this will pay my cell bill he refuses to pay unless I "work" for it. He just doesn't understand as a woman, this week is not the week for me to be lifting heavy batteries! But I will get through it because the poor fella needs help. Jessica helped one time and got through it so to be sure I can. I'm thinking this is a job for Chris to take over with him this summer. It only has to be done every couple of months so it's not too stressing.
Had a good day yesterday! Got some housework done, went to visit office and make sure all was well there, and it is, then came home to find my dear brother had come over and not only cut my grass, but finished trimming a grapevine I had started on but never finished! All I left to do is some trim work around some flowerbeds and do the ditches! Awesome day! Wonder if he will do it again for me? I know he told mom he would keep her yard done this year so he might! It has been a big help that he has stepped up to that. I used to do her yard, house, and finally have thrown up my hands and said I can't! And you know what? They said OK! Now between me, Tony and Veronica it is spread a little more evenly and I can relax more.
I am actually feeling a lot better about a lot of things!
I am feeling hungry! I will go grab me a snack before hitting the road with Kevin. Hope everyone has a great day and finds some adventure of their own!
PEACE!
